My Journey
My Ceramic Journey of Crafting Beauty and Quality.
I began pottery in 2022. I was urged by my son to try it. we went to a two hour community center wheel class and I was hooked. Shortly after that class, my husband gifted me a wheel. Within weeks I was creating daily and began teaching that same wheel class. I had not only found a new love in clay, but I also found a love for sharing the art.
I started on the wheel but quickly moved to hand building, at first just handbuilding elements to go onto wheel thrown items, then hand building complete works.
My constant in my pottery journey has been my friend James, who has been my teacher and encourager the entire time. We discuss new ideas and techniques and we cheer each other on. Thank you James!
Without James, I wouldn't have stretched my wings to try to make gnomes. Prior to my pottery journey, I had a small collection of gnomes. My collection now is much bigger! Also did you know a group of gnomes is called a Rampage? So fun!
I love knowing the joy that my creations bring to people. I truly believe it's a form of magic and I'm honored to be able to wield that.
